WHO WE ARE
There is No Timeline for Healing
Childhood sexual abuse remains a deeply concerning issue in the U.S. (and globally) with recent data from the National Center of Victims of Crime and RAINN, estimating that 1 in 4 women and 1 in 6 men experience childhood sexual abuse (CSA) before the age of 18.
Research shows that the average time it takes for survivors of childhood sexual abuse (CSA) to disclose their experience is approximately 20 to 23 years— sometimes even longer. For many, especially those who were abused in childhood by someone they knew or trusted, it can take decades to find the words, safety and support needed to talk about what happened. This is not a sign of weakness or denial—it’s a reflection of just how complex and painful these experiences can be. This statistic alone is a testament to how hard, and how courageous, it is to break the silence (CHILD USA, 2024). If you are ready to disclose or simply need a safe space to begin making sense of your experience, S.A.F.E. Beyond Silence is here for you and is fully committed to your holistic healing.
OUR MISSION
To enhance prevention, raise awareness, educate and promote healing for adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse (CSA). We are committed to serving others in their freedom and helping CSA Survivors go from merely surviving to holistically thriving.
OUR PURPOSE
A Path to Holistic Healing and Lasting Safety
S.A.F.E. (Sexual Abuse Forever Eradicated) Beyond Silence reason for existence is to assist in supporting the recovery and healing journeys of adult survivors of CSA.
Through a myriad of modalities and offerings, our goal is for every survivor to achieve safety and holistic healing from their childhood traumatic experiences, while also healing in every other area of their lives. Through awareness, healing modalities, resources and community, it is our hope that all adult CSA Survivors can advance their recovery and ultimately experience freedom from the impact of their sexual trauma. It is our belief that when CSA Survivors become safe, we can all move towards a goal of S.A.F.E. (Sexual Abuse Forever Eradicated). S.A.F.E. Beyond Silence was created by GOD; and is operated by Jenāya-Jenny.

OUR FOUNDER
Jenāya-Jenny is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a purpose-driven goal of spending the rest of her life helping other people feel less broken. Jenāya has over twenty years in the mental health field, which has given her a rich and comprehensive understanding of some of the traumatic experiences impacting survivors of childhood sexual abuse (CSA). Jenāya is also a survivor of CSA, and she believes the ongoing suffering and silence around the issue of CSA is deafening. As a social worker and a CSA survivor, it has been integral for Jenāya to recognize her intersecting identity, and to use her voice to help enlighten survivors, while reinforcing the priority of prevention, awareness and holistic treatment. Jenāya believes change can happen when adult CSA survivors are given a nonjudgmental and safe space to address their trauma(s) while optimally drawing on their own strengths to heal. Jenāya is a Chicago native, a loving wife, a vegan-foodie, and an admirer of all things’ quality, chic and authentic. Jenāya is powered by the HOLY SPIRIT, and she is certain that her faith in GOD has amplified her healing from CSA into wholeness.
